James Roger "Jimmy" Emfinger

James R. "Jimmy" Emfinger, 58, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama.Jimmy was born on February 21, 1964 in Langdale, Alabama to the late Charles Roger Emfinger and Doris L. Adams. Jimmy was a member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and his Savior. Jimmy worked as a produce manager at the Winn Dixie Grocery Store at Fox Run Parkway in Opelika. He was employed with Winn Dixie for over 19 years. He was a kind, caring, and generous man who would help anyone in need. Jimmy was an avid University of Alabama football fan and an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He also enjoyed playing basketball when he was younger. Jimmy enjoyed working in the garden and growing flowers. He is survived by his children, Tiffany Emfinger and Zach Emfinger; siblings, Jorene Nelson, Sandi Smith, Chris, Mike, Tim Adams, Mona Bailey, Shirley Johnson, and Mike Moncrief; special friend and former co-worker, Tiffany Oliver; several nieces and nephews; numerous extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00P.M. CST 3:00P.M. EST at the Rocky Mount Baptist Church with interment in Beulah Cemetery. The Reverend Ben Hewitt officiating. His family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00P.M. EST until 8:00P.M. EST 5:00P.M. CST until 7:00P.M. CST.
