Jaquelin Meredith Smith: Funeral service for Jacquelin Smith, 67, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12 noon, Monday, March 27, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, Alabama.
Mrs. Smith, who passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL, was born March 15, 1956, in Macon County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 2 – 6 p.m. (Facial covering is required).
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband, Walter Smith Sr. of Opelika, AL; two children, Meredith Smith of Opelika, AL and Walter Smith Jr. of Huntsville, AL; three grandchildren, Ayana Smith, Zkyah Smith and Zedikyah Smith; one great-grandson, Kai Gardner; two sisters, Cheryl M. Clark of Opelika, AL and Agnes Boyd of Auburn, AL; one brother, Arthur Meredith of Columbus, OH; one aunt, Mae Eliza Moore of Opelika, AL; three sisters-in-law, Lula Richardson, Frankie Smith and Tina Smith; two brothers-in-law, Larry Dowdell and Jerry Russaw; six nieces, Sanquinetha Clark, Ebonnette Meredith, Claudette Dowdell, Mary Alice Meredith, Crystal Meredith and Christine Meredith; five nephews, Bishop Cochran, Jacques Meredith, Jamison Cannon, Frederick Byrd and Larry Dowdell; special cousin, Bruce Calloway; a host of cousins and friends.
