MARTHA HAYGOOD Obituary

MARTHA HAYGOOD Martha Haygood of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011, at age 82. Martha was born on May 1, 1929, in Union Springs, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. James and Mary Haygood. She is survived by her brother James K. Haygood, Jr. (Sue); nephews Russell K. Haygood and Grant H. Haygood (Melanie); niece Susan Haygood McCurry (Patrick); grandnephews Brian J. Haygood, Charles P. McCurry, James E. McCurry and John H. McCurry; and a loving community of friends. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Union Springs, Alabama, on Friday, November 4, 2011, at 2:00 PM Central Time with The Rev. John Fritschner officiating. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Eastern Time on November 7, 2011, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Atlanta with The Rev. Elizabeth Shows Caffey officiating. In lieu of flowers, individuals may make donations to charities of their own choosing.

Martha was a selfless person. She was the most kind, thoughtful, and caring friend always. I loved her as a sister. How I will miss her. Shirley
