Mrs. Holly Reid Carlisle Obituary

Mrs. Holly Reid Carlisle, age 26 of Auburn, passed away Thursday April 16, 2009. Holly graduated from Gardendale High School in 2001 where she was a member of the Color Guard. After graduation she resided in Auburn Alabama. She was preceded in death by grandfather, Hollis Tunstill and grandmother, Jean Tennison Nations.
She is survived by her husband, Michael "Mike" Carl isle; daughter, Shelby Raye Carlisle; father, Bobby Ray "B R" Reid; mother and step-father, Kathy and William Rouse; sister, Heather Keat Mays (Jamie); step-sister, Ashley Rouse Watkins (Dale); nieces, Kyndal and Kate Mays and Ava Gray Watkins; grandmother, Virginia Tunstill; and her Uncle Rodney and Aunt Alice Reid.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday April 18, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale. The family will receive friends Friday April 17, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Gardendale Funeral Home and friends are also welcome to come to the funeral home on Saturday from 10-12 p.m.
We would like to thank the staff and doctors of East Alabama Medical Center ICU. A special thanks to the staff of The Care Center of Opelika and Dr. Keith Fuller and Dr. William Meadows for the care they provided for our daughter Holly. A very special heart felt thank you to Tammy Shannon for loving and providing continued care for Shelby.

Holly and I became friends a couple of years ago. She was a wonderful and caring person. I wish the family love and peace. Mike I am so sorry. To Shelby always remember the your Mom was a great woman.

I went to school with Holly and also bowled with her and Erin Lawson when we were younger... I had been trying to find Holly on MYSPACE and Facebook for a long time, this news has really sadden me. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. May God comfort you in this tragic time.

I went to school with Holly and we grew up together. This just hurt my heart. I can't even find the words to say. The family will stay in my prayers! Just remember to keep the faith in God and he will heal all wounds!
