Nancy Irene Hartzog Obituary

1930-2009

Funeral services for Nancy Irene Hartzog, 79, of Auburn will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Fredericks Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sam Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Auburn Memorial Park.
Visitation for Mrs. Hartzog will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Fredericks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hartzog was born on January 17, 1930 in Barbour County, AL. to the late Willie and Maggie Shiver. She passed away on April 14, 2009 at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons: Daniel A. (Sherri) Hartzog of Austin, MN. and Malcolm D. Hartzog of Auburn, Al. one daughter, Nancy (Richard) Marsee of Auburn, AL. and six grand-children: Tiffany, Skylar, Savannah, Kenney Hartzog, Jeremy Dickenson, and Ryan Marsee. One brother, Roy Shiver, along with three nieces and one nephew.
Mrs. Hartzog was a 36 year employee of the South Central Bell and AT&T Phone System, with her starting position being a switchboard operator. In retirement she was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Her hobbies included yard work and landscaping, along with traveling to visit friends and relatives.
Fredericks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I was saddened to learn of the death of your mom. I have the fondest memories of Hartzog, as she was a special friend of my late sister, Zelda Carroll.
