Carlos Kimbrough Obituary

ODESSA Carlos Terry Kimbrough, age 55, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2008, at his residence in Odessa.

He was born in Rotan, Texas to Carlos William Kimbrough and Mattie (Layne) Kimbrough.

He was a driller in the oilfield. He was a US Army veteran.

To his kids he was a grumpy old man on the outside, but they all knew he was a big ole teddy bear inside. He was a good man. Although he had no biological children, his stepchildren could not have been more HIS. He was always there for them. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He always kept his word. He loved his grandkids wholeheartedly. He loved to listen to Joshua play guitar. He was very proud that Glenn had chosen to go into the Navy after graduation and proud of Melissa for getting her degree. He was proud that Wesley was a Marine and that Angel had accomplished so much in Tae Kwan Do.
He is survived by his wife, Tressa Kimbrough of Odessa; the children of his heart: Wesley Galloway and Melissa Galloway, both of

Big Spring, Texas, Glenn Martin, Joshua Martin, and Angel Martin, all of Odessa; one brother, Wendell Kimbrough of Odessa; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Galloway, Clayton Galloway, Tristan Galloway, Trinity Galloway and Tarynn Mae Galloway, all of Big Spring, Texas; one niece, LeAnn Lummus and husband, Danny of Springtown, Texas; and two great-nephews, Timothy and Joshua Lummus; and one great-niece, Christine Lummus, all of Springtown, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one nephew, Jay Kimbrough.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2008, at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Bro. Terry Wright. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel. "Bye, Turtle Bug"
