He is preceded in death by his parents David M. Valenzuela and Isabel Gallego Valenzuela and two brothers Hector and Santiago "Jimmy" Valenzuela.
He is survived by his 5 Sons Hector Valenzuela and wife Christina Of Odessa; Enrique Portillo and wife Betty of Abilene; Javier Portillo and wife Cynthia of Acuna, Mexico; Juan Lerma; German Sibrian of Odessa. 5 Daughters Veronica Valenzuela and fiance Nathan of Odessa; Breanna Valenzuela; Neidia Rankin and husband Chris of Odessa; Sandra Baeza and husband Alfredo of Tatum, NM; Yuliana Ponce and husband Juventino of Abilene. 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 8:00am-9:00pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, with Rosary recited at 7pm at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Mass will be Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 2pm.

Alma just to say how sorry I am about your loss. David was a great person he was always respectful and a great friend to my son Thor and our family. We have missed him since you all moved to Odessa. Thor is always talking about David and the times they worked together. I will not be able to go to the funeral but I will be thinking of you all and praying for you. God bless you all. Sonny was always a sweet and kind person with me. He always tried to keep in touch and see how myself or my mom was doing. He will be missed. Rest in peace cousin. Love you
