Dean Farmer Obituary
He was born December 27, 1921 in East St. Louis, IL, to Louis and Opal (Coe) Farmer.
Dean was a member of the Church of Christ in Kermit, TX., and also a non-practicing Mason. He loved to garden and gather pecans as well as help others. Dean enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1942 and achieved the rank of Corporal before being discharged in 1946. He participated in Pacific Theater against enemy forces on Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands in May of 1945. He was awarded a good conduct medal; as well as an honorable discharge button.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons: Howard Farmer and wife Jamie of Amarillo, TX and Richard Farmer and wife Pat of Grand Lake, CO; sister: Bonnie Moorhouse of El Paso, TX; six grandchildren: David Farmer and wife Pam, Jowana Morris, Darrell Farmer, Jonathan Farmer and wife Jessica; Tye Farmer and Allison Farmer; thirteen great-grandchildren: Tyson, Brittany, Heather, Morgan, Kalin, Call, Bailey, Sierra, Guy, Trey, Madden, Gage and Emilee.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ellen Farmer; his parents: Louis and Opal Farmer; one sister: Mildred Berry and one grandson: Nathan Farmer.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit, TX, with Brother Brian McGonagill officiating and assisted by Brother Joe Carrasco.
Pallbearers will be: David Farmer, Jowana Morris, Darrell Farmer, Jonathan Farmer, Tye Farmer and Allison Farmer.
Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor. Online condolences may be sent at fs-fp.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Farmer was the one patient I will never forget. His wit made my day. I still talk about him and chuckle at the memories...I doubt you remember my name, but I was the white haired nurse that truly enjoyed his visit.
