Edmund "Ed" Drapalla

ODESSA Edmund "Ed" Drapalla, of Odessa, TX, passed away on March 20, 2015 in Odessa, TX.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 23, 2015 from 6-8pm.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 4pm at Sunset Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Clydel Chapman, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Ed was born in Davy, TX to Ignatz and Regina Drapalla on October 27, 1922. He was the eldest of 6 children.

He married Juanita Lorene Liverman on July 10, 1951 in Junction, TX. He worked for Phillips Petroleum for 38 years and retired in 1985. He worked as a core driller in the oil exploration in his early career and traveled extensively living in over nine different states and multiple towns within those states. He finished out his career as a pumper. He was a veteran of the United States Army in the Medic Division.

He served his country from 1943 to 1946 in World War II.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents Ignatz and Regina Drapalla, brothers Ben Drapalla, Pete Drapalla, and Edward Drapalla, and sister Elizabeth Mueller.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lorene; three daughters, Danielle Woodall, DeAnn and her husband Michael Cooper, Kay and her husband Clint Pool; grandchildren, Heather and her husband John Hutson, Brandon and his wife Stephenie Woodall, Caitlin and her husband Bo McDaniel, Kalie Pool all of Odessa, Sean and his wife Laura Cooper of Kansas City and Ryan and his wife Jennifer Cooper of California; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Elise and Peyton Hutson, Garrett and Bailea Woodall, Jaxon McDaniel, Olivia, Ella, and Hannah Cooper; one great-great grandchild Weston Woodall; sister Eleanora Rohan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brandon and Garrett Woodall, John, Tyler and Peyton Hutson, Sean and Ryan Cooper and Bo McDaniel.
