I was so sorry to hear of Glenda's passing. She & I worked together for so many years at MCH. She was a wonderful nurse, mentor, patient & nurse advocator as well as unit manager. I knew she always had the nurses's backs & would fight for what was right. She loved all the babies & children on her Pedi unit, too, & would always be there for them as well as for the parents. She was a very respected nurse, & she will be missed by so many of her peers she has worked with for over 50 years. Rest in peace, Glenda, you have earned it. May God bless her husband as he moves forward.

I miss Glenda Ruth so much. We were travel buddies for a number of years as we went to Branson, MO. Before I moved to Weatherford if I needed to be in Odessa for several days, her home was always open to me and our other cousin. It was a great shock to learn of her illness and death. RIP Glenda. I love and miss you.

Glenda guided me as an Odessa College nursing student and then as my first charge nurse at Medical Center Hospital. She taught me the foundation of patient care and how to be a patient and family advocate that with dignity and compassion. Her bright smile. She groomed me as a charge nurse. I will be forever grateful and remember Glenda as one of the nursing mentors that laid the foundation for the last 35 years. Thank you Glenda and may we meet again in heaven.
Family of Glenda, I pray that the Lord will hold you in his arms and provide you peace and comfort during this time. Thank you for sharing Glenda with me and all of the nursing students, colleagues and patients that had the privilege to know her.

I met Glenda Many years ago as a new nurse at what was then Woman's and Children's Hospital. I watched her make rounds on new babies with Dr. Furst and I thought "how cool". Glenda and I crossed paths over and over during our careers and we always had fun. So sorry to hear of her passing -not sorry for her because we know where she is! See ya later friend.
