Hazel Dobbs Obituary
Hazel married Robert Edger Dobbs Jr. in Mundy, TX on March 12th, 1946. Hazel and R.E. moved to Odessa in 1954 where they later owned and operated The Country Store for many years. Hazel ""Granny"" Dobbs was widely known and loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sami Jo; her husband, R.E.; her daughter, Robbie Jo Dobbs and her nephew, Joe Moreland.
Hazel is survived by her sister, Maleen Moreland and family; her daughter, Gerry Dean (husband) Bill Richardson of Albuquerque, NM; her son, Danny, a Vietnam Veteran of Marlin, TX; her daughter, Jackie Beth of Odessa, TX; her six grandchildren, Jason (wife) Allyson Anne Richardson, Michael (wife) Keena Richardson, Allison Richardson, Brooke Richardson (all of Odessa, TX), Shannon and Kristen Richardson of Albuquerque, NM and her ten great-grandchildren, Megan, Brice, Sklya, Michelle, Autumn, Emylee, Zeke, Ariel, Irelyn, Daniel and her great-great-grandchild, Damian Michael.
Visitation with family will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 2nd from 6-8 p.m. Services for Hazel will be held at Greenfield Acres Baptist Church in Odessa, TX, on Thursday, November 3rd at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mrs.Dobbs had to be the sweetest woman I ever met(unless you got on her bad side).Always a smile and a kind word. I am sorry for Maleen and all her family. I think she was a truly blessed person, strong thur all the trials God sent her way. I will always think of her with a smile.
