ODESSA Janie Catherine Miller, age 66, of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014, in Odessa. She was born in Texarkana, AR, on January 4, 1948, to the late Clinton and Martha (Collins) McArthur. She was a 1966 OHS graduate. Janie married Bobby Joe "B.J." Miller in Highlands, TX, on May 25, 1990. She was a homemaker.
Janie, lovingly known to many as "Mamal," was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister and aunt, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved watching "Criminal Minds" and "Tombstone" and even joined Twitter, so that she could vote for "The Voice." She loved green Skittles and eating popcorn for breakfast, lunch, and even dinner. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts.
She is survived by her husband: B.J. Miller of Odessa; sons: Calvin "Eddie" Trout and wife Pamela of Odessa, Michael "David" Trout and wife Sarah of Houston, and Bobby Miller and wife Robin of Highlands; daughter: Kathy Rugh and husband Ed of Baytown; her sisters: Carolyn Benson of Westminster, MD, Mary Lou Hahn of Robert Lee, and Maggie Cathey of Portales, NM; grandchildren: Sean, Candice, Sasha, Gabby, Amber, Aaron, Kaigan, Carson, Bayley, Brynnley, and Briley; great-grandchildren: Slade, Garrett, Raylynn Jo, Brandon, K.K., Myrakle, Joel, Josephine, Jasmine, Jake and Jaclyn; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Janie is preceded in death by her parents: Clinton and Martha McArthur, and her brother: Robert "Bob" McArthur.
