May Copley Obituary

ODESSA May Bell Foster Copley departed this life to be with her heavenly father June 16, 2014, at the age of 89 in Odessa, Texas.
May Bell was born October 23, 1924, in Decatur, Texas – Wise County, to parents Edith Lynch Foster and Elliott Rutherford Foster. May Bell married M.R. Copley on June 8, 1944. They came to Odessa in 1947 from Coolidge, Texas. Throughout her career, May Bell was employed by Snow White Bakery, J.C. Penney, and Everybody's Grocery Store. She later went on to become a certified nursing assistant and worked as a live in sitter-caregiver for many patients and families. She was an avid traveler and toured Europe and Alaska with her brothers and their wives. May Bell was active in her church and enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing, crocheting, as well as being an expert seamstress. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was known to many as May or May Bell and "Mammaw" to her Grandchildren. She always had a bright smile and a huge caring heart.
May Bell is survived by son Marion Eddy Copley and wife Martha, daughter Wanda Carol Sullivan and husband Jack, grandchildren Martha Karole Jarman, Eddy Copley Jr., Jacque Sullivan, Michelle Sullivan, Casey Sullivan and wife Tobee, and Sissy Rumbaugh, all of Odessa, Texas. Great grandchildren Reuben, Brayden, Mason, Taylor and Cayden. She is also survived by one brother Gene Foster and wife Marsha of Plano, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
May Bell Was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband M.R. Copley, brother Bill Foster, and great grandson Brian Copley.
The family extends special gratitude to the many caring individuals that assisted in her care; Emeritus at Sherwood Place, Madison Medical Resort, Star Hospice, and numerous family members and dear friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas. Family visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, 2014, from 6-8PM. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 10AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Star Hospice of Odessa, Texas.

Dear Wanda Carol and Jack,Eddy and Martha and all the grandkids and great-granchildren;she was a wonderful lady' who touched all of us.Such wonderfull memories;we all must have.
