Michael Detterick Obituary
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Lakeview Christian Church in Andrews. John Detterick will officiate.
Mike was born February 16, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas. He moved to Andrews with his family in 1970. Mike graduated from Andrews High School in 1980. He served in the United States Marine Corps. After returning from the service, Mike attended Motorcycle Mechanics school and was a trained Harley-Davidson Technician. He worked as a motorcycle technician and as an automobile technician and was employed by Lithia Toyota in Odessa.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Barbara Detterick of Andrews; sister, Cyndie Detterick Pineda and her husband Robert of Andrews; daughters, Jennifer Strnal of Midland and Summer Beckworth of Ft. Worth; niece, Leticia Pineda of Ft. Worth; and two grandchildren.
The family requests that memorial gifts be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Gidions or Bikers Against Child Abuse.

I just keep waiting for you to show up at the door. Every time I do something, especially when I need someone tall, I wonder where you are. I just want you to come home, to be here with all of us. Mom and Dad miss you, we miss you. I still can't imagine you are really gone. I know you are in heaven, happy and pain free, enjoying things we down here can only imagine for now, but my selfish human side just wants you here. Your hugs were amazing, your jokes were stupid (but a little funny) and you were so much to so many that I don't want to think of you as gone. I love you, I miss you and I will never forget you. You can't imagine how many "projects" I have going now without you here to keep me in line.
