ODESSA Monte Ray Garrison, 83, journeyed from this world peacefully to his new home in heaven on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. He battled Alzheimer's disease for the past nine years.

In 1952, he joined his brother, B.C., in the Garrison Tire business. Monte was a devoted member of the Masonic Fellowship Lodge No. 1385, Commandry No. 110, Scottish Rite, and the El Maida Shrine. He was also a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, eleven brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margie; son, Bruce and wife, Charlotte, of Plano, Texas; daughter, Brenda Perkins of Lewisville, Texas; Christy Ordener and husband, Garry, of Odessa, Texas; brother, Edmond Garrison of Houston; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
