Oscar Muniz Aguirre Jr.

1977 - 2018

ODESSA - Oscar Muniz Aguirre, Jr., age 41, was called unexpectedly to his Heavenly home on Monday, December 10, 2018. Oscar was born to Maria (Muniz) and the late Oscar Madrid Aguirre, Sr. on Sunday, July 3, 1977. He graduated OHS in 1996. He married Jeanette Ibeth Guerra in 1999 and together they built a strong and loving family. They are faithful members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Oscar began his career with Wells Fargo, working for 6 years as a supervisor, then went on to work for American General Finance for 3 years as a finance manager. Junior followed his father's footsteps and began a new career working with Acres West Funeral Chapel. He had started his hands-on training with his father before Oscar Sr. passed away and had recently begun schooling to become a licensed funeral director. He didn't need a license to be awesome at his job and he was a valued employee and friend. Oscar also owned and operated his own DJ business.

Oscar enjoyed BBQ-ing, going to the lake and spending time with family. His loyal nature was evidenced by his longstanding and enthusiastic support for the Dallas Cowboys.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his loving wife: Jeanette Aguirre; four beloved daughters: Danielle Aguirre, Alexandra Aguirre, Karina Aguirre, and Karisol Aguirre; his mother: Maria Aguirre; his sisters: Sonia Aguirre Duran, her husband Luis and her children (who he loved and helped to raise as if they were his own): Brian and Amariah, and April Montoya, her husband Leonel and their son: Leonel Montoya, Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his dearly loved father: Oscar Aguirre Sr., he is preceded in death by his nephew: Lazarus Aguirre.

Rosary will be recited at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment follows at Odessa II Gardens Section of Ector County Cemetery.
