I think I shall best remember Lester for his sense of humor.
He remained young in spirit throughout his life.

I have many fond memories of Lester at the field flying. I believe he loved it out there as much as I still do. I will always get a smile when I think of him and I will think of him everytime I go to the field.

Mrs. Hood: My prayers are with you and your family. Your husband and my dad, "Bud" Oblinger were classmates at Pearland High School. I am told they played football together when they were in school. My dad was an Historical Society Member before his death in Feb, 2005. I am sorry for your loss, but I know Lester is in a better place. Sincerely, Luana Oblinger Concha

Lester encouraged me and my grandson to join Jetero in 1999. We did and have not regretted a moment. He was a sincere and fine gentleman with wisdom beyond his years. He will be missed by all his family and friends

LuAnn and Mrs. Hood,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my father two years ago and my mother on Feb. 24th, so I truly understand. I remember many fun times at your home. You were such a close and loving family, and Mr. Hood obviously adored both of you. I can only imagine how much he must have enjoyed his grandchildren. Cherish your memories and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

What a fun man Lester Hood was! We always enjoyed when he would talk about his model airplanes. We both feel lucky to have known him. And I'll always remember the rides across Texas in the "shoebox"!
