Sue Dorr Obituary
Sue was born October 4, 1938, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Sue taught elementary school until she retired from teaching to raise a family in Pecos, Texas with her husband of 49 years, John Robert Dorr. Sue was active in the community and enjoyed participating in church and club activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents John Joseph Prendergast and Dessie Mae Lents Prendergast.
Sue is survived by her four children, her son John Joseph Dorr, II of Midland, Texas; her daughter, Dede Sue Helen Dorr Allen of Allen, Texas; her son, John Robert Dorr, Jr. and wife, Wendi Helene, of Midland, Texas; her daughter, Jan Elizabeth Dorr Freeman and husband Donald Carey of Bluffton, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Jacob Austin Dorr, Emily Madison Dorr, Katelyn Sydney Dorr, John Robert Dorr III, and Natalie Sue Allen; her brother John Lents Prendergast, and wife Sondra Gayle, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; two nieces, five grandnieces and two grandnephews.
A private graveside service will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to Hospice of Midland, 911 W Texas Ave, Midland, Texas, or a charity of your choice.
The Dorr Family would like to thank all her caregivers, especially Lori Daylong who went above and beyond to meet her daily needs to maintain a high quality of life for Sue; and her primary physician Dr. Manish Dimri whose personal care and compassion will not be forgotten.

Sue and I met at OU in 1956. We were in the same Tri Delta pledge class. We dated, married fraternity brothers and have remained friends ever since.
The first picture is Sue as a bridesmaid in my wedding, December 1959.
The other pictures were from our European trips with Terri Culwell. I have fond memories of the times we spent together and the hours we spent talking on the phone.
I love you Sue and will miss you.
