Virginia Sheffield Obituary

SAN MARCOS Our sweet mother, Virginia Scheible Sheffield, 91 ascended to Heaven's gates on December 28, 2014 at her daughter's home in San Marcos, Texas.
Virginia was born at the family home in Fox, Oklahoma on February 7, 1923.
Virginia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charlie Carl Scheible; two sons: Kenneth Scheible of Odessa, Texas and Charles Scheible of Abilene, Texas; and by the second love of her life, her husband, Eldon Sheffield of Odessa, Texas.
She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her twin sister Voneta Williams of Lake Mathis, Texas. Sons: Fred Scheible (Mitzi) of Odessa, Texas; Glen Scheible (Libbey) of Muldoon, Texas. Daughters: Sharon Porter of Odessa, Texas; Gayle Howard (Barney) of San Marcos, Texas; Neta Scheible and Amy Fingerle (Jeff) both of Odessa, Texas.
Virginia will also be missed by her many beloved grand, great grand and great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends, too numerous to list but not forgotten.
Virginia was with one of her children when she peacefully exited this world and instantly entered into God's presence. She loved attending Sunday services at Pastor Hagee's Church in San Antonio. She also loved the simple joy of having coffee on the porch while watching the deer, squirrel, turkey and all the beautiful birds that came into her view.
She cherished God's presence above all else and carried that legacy throughout her lifetime. She shared her love of God with every person she came into contact with, and all were blessed and impacted by her unwavering faith. The strong family values and positive attitude she gracefully instilled in us will be remembered and greatly missed along with her personality and her smile, until we reunite with her sweet spirit again in Heaven.
Her cherished memory will live in our hearts forever. A joyous Memorial Service to celebrate her life is pending.
Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10.
Services are entrusted to Thomason Funeral Home of San Marcos.

I am blessed to have known her. Her hospitality and acceptance of all people is a testament to what a genuine Godley lady she really was. We will meet again and until then, my prayers are for comfort for all her family. Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn; For they shall be comforted.
