William Harrison Stevens

ODESSA - William Harrison Stevens, age 77, died of (ALS) Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosison June 12, 2022, at home in Odessa, Texas.

Williamis survived by his wife of 57 years Pamela Hood Stevens, brother Jackie Stevens and his wife Diana of Hamlin, Texas, his son Todd Stevens and wife Traci of Seguin, Texas, daughter Tonya Douglas and her husband Gary of Cross Plains, Texas and his daughter Tamara Allen and her husband Cody of Midland, Texas; sixgrandkids, Hailey Stevens of Seguin, Texas, Jeremy Stevens of Pleasanton, Texas, Lawson Zuniga of Odessa, Texas, Hayden Zuniga of Midland, Texas, Chris Wright-Garcia of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bailey Allen of Snyder, Texas; fivegreat grand-children, numerous nieces and nephews, and eightgreat grand-dogs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Corbin and Mary Elizabeth Stevens, and brother Kenneth Stevens.

William was born on September 4, 1944, in Taylor, Arkansas, to parents William Corbin and Mary Elizabeth Stevens. He attended school in Hamlin and Anson, Texas. He worked for the past 33 years at American Cleaning Systems in Odessa, Texas.

William was a great family man and a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He married Pamela Hood on August 22, 1964, in Sweetwater, Texas and the couple had 3 children together.

William was a social, active man who was deeply involved in the lives of his children and great-grandchildren. He spent many years hauling his kids to rodeos, fishing with his family, traveling to the Gulf Coast, and attending baseball games with his grandchildren. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, compassionate man that never met a stranger and would help anyone.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022, beginning at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Tuesday, morning at 9:00 AM prior to the start of the funeral service.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 10:00 AM at American Heritage Chapel with Phil Harguess officiating. Interment immediately following at American Heritage Cemetery.
