Anthony Tomai Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Tomai Jr., 88, formerly of west Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 24, 2014, in Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.
He was born December 24, 1925, in Rosepoint, a son of the late Anthony and Mary DeNillo Tomai.
Mr. Tomai was married for 54 years to late Delores "Dee" Meyer Tomai, who passed away September 16, 2005.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
In his lifetime, he worked for Ford Motor Co. and the transportation department for New Castle Area School District.
Mr. Tomai was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to read and garden.
Surviving are two daughters, Toni Tomai Didiano and husband Fred Jr. of Warren, Ohio, and Patti Tomai Palladino of Washington; four grandchildren, Lisa Didiano of Warren, Amanda Palladino Gaiser and husband Cory of Washington, Anthony Didiano and wife Gina of New Castle and Derek Palladino and companion Stephanie Meyer of Pittsburgh; three great-grandchildren, Angelina Didiano and Nathan and Natalie Gaiser; three sisters, Florence Monk, Esther Johnson, Martha Bunce, and their spouses; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are siblings Dorothy Caldararo, Mary Caravella, Rose Carbone, Madelyn Macky and Robert M. Tomai.
Private services will be held Saturday, June 28, in Savannah Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill Street, New Castle. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.decarbofuneralhome.com.
