Barbara Reeves Obituary

Barbara Louise Morrow Reeves, 93, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born August 13, 1932 in Washington, Barbara was the daughter of the late George and Frances Guthrie Morrow. She graduated from Trinity High School before marrying Clarence A. Reeves on November 19, 1950. They shared over 60 years together, building both a family and a business that reflected their hard work and devotion. Barbara and Clarence owned and operated their family business, Reeves Sport Shop, for 50 years, where Barbara served as the bookkeeper and treasurer. Her attention to detail and meticulous record keeping kept the business thriving for decades. Prior to settling in Washington, Barbara and Clarence lived in New Jersey, Texas and Washington State, while Clarence was in the Army. They returned to Pennsylvania to build a home near their family. They raised three children in this home and enjoyed spending time together on their farm. Barbara had a lifelong love of antiques, a passion inspired by her parents, but her true treasure was her family. It was the love for her family that brought her the most happiness in life. Her greatest joy was spending time with them and she often reflected on her family as being her proudest accomplishment. She enjoyed her solitude in her later years, and filled her retirement with reading mysteries, working on puzzles and going thrifting or antiquing. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose gentle spirit, selflessness and unwavering kindness touched all those who knew her. She will forever be remembered for her loving and nurturing presence. Barbara is survived by her brother, George Leslie (Janice) Morrow; son, William (Susan) Reeves; daughter, Susan Scheidemantle; grandchildren: Jered (Bekah) Reeves, Jordan (Tiffany) Reeves, Calvin Reeves, Colton Greco, Megan (Elroy) Van Horn, Ellen Scheidemantle and Eliza Scheidemantle; and great-grandchildren: Liam Reeves, Peyton Reeves, Oliver Reeves and Hailey McKean. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Reeves; their son, Chris Reeves; and great-grandson, Colsen River Reeves. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Presbyterian Senior Care Woodside Place, Washington Campus, whose compassionate care and support meant so much to Barbara and her family. www.givetosrcare.org/donate-now/. Barbara's family would also like to express their sincerest gratitude for the loving care that was provided by Gateway Hospice. All funeral arrangements were private and under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenue, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner / Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
