Bonnie Belfiore Obituary

Bonnie M. Belfiore, born Yvonne Marie Tauzel, 85, of Canonsburg passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in her home with her devoted family by her side. She was born July 11, 1939, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Rose LaSalvia and Fred Tauzel and her stepfather John H. Donnelly. Bonnie lived her life in Canonsburg where she was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and a faithful lifetime member of St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church. She was an energetic, generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Bonnie was a dedicated homemaker who loved cleaning, washing cars and hated cooking! She was the most enthusiastic Pittsburgh sports fan and listened to the Pirates on the radio. Her local sports passion was the Canon McMillan wrestling program who awarded her recognition of being a "Top Supporter". On June 29, 1957, she married Philip J. Belfiore who survives her after 68 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Phillip Belfiore and his wife Nancy Pierce of North East, David Belfiore and Kris Jack of Strabane, Matthew Belfiore of Houston and Kathy Belfiore, wife of the late Mark Belfiore; her grandchildren, Bradley Belfiore, Brittany Burke, Emily, Elisa and Angelea Belfiore; and great-grandchildren Joshua and William Burke. Deceased is her son Mark Belfiore. Friends and family are welcome from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:40 a.m. Monday July 7, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Catholic Charities of the Dioceses of Pittsburgh 331 South Main Street Washington PA 15301. I was so sorry to hear of Bonnie´s passing. Most of my family is on vacation and will not be able to attend her services. She was always so kind to nanny. You and our family are in our thoughts and prayers.
