Carol Sue Kelly, 77, of Carmichaels, passed away April 25, 2023, after a lengthy illness. She was born March 10, 1946, in Morgantown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lewis and Ruby Jones Kelly.
Carol attended the First United Methodist Church of Carmichaels. She loved warm weather, taking rides around town, and sitting in the sun working on her tan. Carol was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed cheering on the New England Patriots and at the time, Tom Brady.
Carol is survived by her children, Lewis Bower (Patricia) of Maiden, N.C., and Angela Cole (Rob) of Carmichaels; her grandchildren, Timothy Bower (fiancee Courtney Hooper) of Maiden, N.C., Mark Bower (Tiffany) of Boiling Springs, S.C., Sara Bower (Patrick Hathcock) of Lincolnton, N.C., Casey Cole-Regotti (Nate) of Roscoe, and Ty Cole of State College; great-grandchildren, TJ, Bentley and Jaxon Bower, Benji and Bane Bower, and Rory Regotti. Carol is also survived by her brother, Lewis H. Kelly (Audreynell) of Suffolk, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Janet Kelly and Barbara Antonelli; and brother, Gerald Kelly.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
