D. Ray Andrews, 54, died Friday, April 28, 2017, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh. He had been ill for the last few months with heart problems.
He was born August 10, 1962, in Altus, Okla., a son of the late Derwin L. Andrews and Doris Stepp Blessingame.

He helped coach grades two through eight with the East Washington football team. He also helped coach for the Washington High School football team as well as a few traveling basketball teams. When you would meet Mr. Andrews, you would instantly get a history lesson about his home state, Oklahoma. He always wanted to be a tornado chaser. He was a huge fan of the football team the Oklahoma Sooners.
