Dean DaPra Obituary
Born November 9, 1961, he was a son of Robert J. and the late Antoinette DaPra.
He was an exceptional athlete. In 1974, pitching for Canonsburg Police Department, he faced 150 batters, striking out 136. His batting average was .519. In one game, he struck out all 18 batters in a 6 inning game and 17 in another.
He also had an artistic mind, drawing comedians Abbott and Costello by memory. He was elected to design the inside front cover of his graduating class book, turning out to be controversial, but still accepted.
He leaves his father, Robert; his son, Dean (Sierra); sister Denise (Robert) Paterra; brother Robert DaPra; and his granddaughter, Ariana, for whom he had just purchased Easter gifts the day before his death.
At the family's request, all services will be held privately. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.
If desired, memorial contributions can be made to Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
