Dominic Raymond Broglia

Dominic Raymond "Stogie" Broglia, 86, of Cecil, passed away peacefully with his whole family around him on Friday, March 13, 2026. He was born February 27, 1940, in Canonsburg Hospital, a son of the late Dominic T. and Theresa F. Imperatore Broglia. Dominic graduated from Canonsburg High School and worked all of his life for the former McGraw Edison and Cooper Power Systems. Dominic is survived by his wife, Shirley DeJohn Broglia, with whom he shared a beautiful life together, since he was 16 and she was 14; his son, Dominic and his children, Dominic Vincent (Mary), Mario, Angelo, Bella, and their mother, Mary Jane; and two great-grandchildren, Myah and Dominic James. Also surviving are his daughter, Lauren Ann Broglia and her husband, Mario Giovannini, and their children, Angela and Massimiliano; and three great-grandchildren, Manuela, Mattia, and Francesco Giovannini of Rome, Italy. Also surviving is a sister, Anita (Bob) Stopperich; and a very close and special first cousin, Nancy "Cissy" (Don) Moninger. Family and friends are welcome Thursday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Service, Ltd., 30 East College Street Canonsburg PA 15317, 724-746-1000, Phillip L. Departing prayers will be recited in the funeral home Friday, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial, in St. Patrick Church, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
