Donna Joan Errett, 76, of Independence, Ky., passed away peacefully Friday, August 3, 2018, in Madonna Manor, Villa Hills, Ky.
She was born December 1, 1941, in Hickory, a daughter of David and Mildred Errett.
Donna graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biology from Waynesburg College and a master's degree in library studies from University of Pittsburgh.
She worked as a librarian for Jefferson County Public Library in Madison, Ind., and as head librarian in Hilton Head, S.C. She was past president of Hilton Head Lions Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Donna is survived by her loving sons, John (Chasity) Gercken and Jeff Gercken; siblings David (Molly) Errett, Richard (Karen) Errett, Dianne (Huxley) Jackson and Daniel (Judy) Errett; grandson Jack Gercken; and many other relatives and friends.
A gathering of friends for Donna was held Monday in Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.

Donna was always such fun in College. I so looked forward to seeing her at our 50th class reunion, but we could not locate her.
My sincere sympathy to her family and friends, she will be missed by all who knew her.
