Evelyn Phillips Obituary

Evelyn Phillips, 77, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was born June 16, 1948, a daughter of the late Frank and Anne Michledge Strauss. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend, whose love for the outdoors was unmatched. Evelyn enjoyed cooking, soap operas, going shopping, and spending time hunting and fishing, often alongside her husband and son, making memories on the water and in the woods that will be cherished forever. She loved getting her hair done by her dear friend, Sherri. A woman of strong faith, Evelyn was a devoted Catholic who found comfort and strength in her beliefs. She had a kind loving personality and was helpful to everyone. Evelyn lived life fully and found joy in the simple moments shared with the people she loved the most. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Joseph Phillips; son, Jason Phillips; and cousin, Beverly (Edwin) School. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents.
