Lois, you may have had to share Bud with your community and your county, but that is why we are here. To help each other? Bud is a legend in his own time: with sooo many grateful he was in their life. Happy Memories keeps us sane. And he never leaves you...wanting to tell him what you just heard on TV or the internet...listening for the door to slam. Life has been good. Take care. Shirley Christopher Romine

To the Cottle family. For many years I have thought about Mr. Cottle. I had him as an accounting teacher at Uniontown High School. I always wondered about him and where he was. I have to tell you that he was my very favorite teacher ever. I learned so much from him. I wasn't the best behaved student in the class!!! However, he was so kind to me. So very patient and soft spoken, kind and gentle. He was so very sincere in what he dedicated himself to doing. I wanted to do well in his class to please him! I always wished I could tell him, thank you. Now he knows! My heartfelt sympathy is with your family for I know that he will be missed by you. P.S. He looks exactly the same as he did back then. I am so glad I saw it in the Uniontown paper. Sincerely, Cathy King Bryner

To Mr. Cottle's family: Please except my deepest sympathy and prayers. He was my Bookkeeping teacher at Uniontown High School. As I remember he was firm but had a gentle personality. I remember him always smiling. I always knew he cared deeply for his students. After graduation in 1971 I would often wonder how some of my favorite teachers were and he was always at the top of my list. I am saddened by his passing. It appears he had a wonderful and fulfilling life. Thank you Mr. Cottle for shaping my future and may you rest in peace.
Love,

I want to extend to Mr. Cottle's family and friends my deepest heartfelt sympathy on the loss of a great man. I was a student of his at Uniontown High School in 1970-1973. I had him for my three years in high school. He taught me bookkeeping, business math and other secretarial course. He was a great man and I enjoyed having him as a teacher. I learned a lot from him and his teaching helped me in my life and in my career. I thank you Mr. Cottle for your devotion to all your students, may your soul rest in peace. Amen.
