Grant Heasley Obituary

Grant Charles Heasley, 25, of Canonsburg, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018, in his home.

He was born February 14, 1993, in Pittsburgh, a son of Calvin Heasley and the late Lori Cianelli.

He was a graduate of Waynesburg Central High School, Class of 2011, where he wrestled.

Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as an infantryman for 2 1/2 years.

Following his military service, he attended college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated in May 2018 with a bachelor of arts degree in communications media.

Mr. Heasley enjoyed playing guitar, telling jokes, reading books, watching movies and hanging out with his friends and cousins.

Always one to brighten up the room, he was very gifted as an entertainer and enjoyed doing stand-up comedy.

Surviving are his father, Calvin W. (Beth) Heasley of Canonsburg; sister Gianna Heasley and brother Michael Heasley, both of Canonsburg; his stepfather, Jeffrey Buckel of Canonsburg; and his girlfriend, Hope Andrews. Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, Charles and Donna Heasley of Waynesburg; two aunts, Mary Ann Cianelli Child of Long Beach, Calif., and Vicki (Mark) Snyder of Waynesburg; uncle Don (Elena) Cianelli of New Town Square; and cousins Angelo (Liz) Cianalli, Peter (Tatiana) Cianelli, Anna Cianelli, Sam Cianelli, Cara Snyder, Matthew Snyder and Russell Clark.

In addition to his mother, Lori Cianelli Buckel, deceased are his maternal grandparents, Angelo and Eileen Conforti Cianelli.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 194 East College Street, Canonsburg. Departing prayers will be held in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1 p.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will be held in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, at a later date.
