Harry Thomas Evans, 77, of Washington, died Thursday, October 7, 2021, in Whitetail Springs Memory Care Community in Baldwin.
He was born July 2, 1944, in Boonville, N.Y., a son of the late Harry Allen and Julia Frances Szlosek Evans.
A graduate of Boonville Central High School in New York, Harry went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Alfred University in Alfred, N.Y., and his Master of Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Harry worked for more than 40 years as a ceramic engineer for Ferro Corporation.
A man who enjoyed all sports, Mr. Evans coached little league, and enjoyed golfing and reading.
Surviving are a daughter, Julie E. (John) Schade of Strongsville, Ohio; a brother, Bradley W. Evans of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Beth T. Ranieri of Henderson, Nev., and Harriet E. (Kevin) Evans Golden Derezotes of Mascoutah, Ill.; former wives, Beverly Evans and Velora Newstead; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a son, Ryan Thomas Evans.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m., the time of a blessing service, Wednesday, October 27, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Father Thomas Lewandowski as celebrant.
