Jane Barnes Cree, 90, of Waynesburg, died at 9:01 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
She was born Wednesday, March 7, 1928, in Mannington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas Barnes and Nora Means Barnes.
Mrs. Cree was a member of First United Methodist Church, Waynesburg.
She helped start Lobby Shop, where she served as a volunteer, at Greene County Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg. She also served on Greene County Memorial Hospital Board for several years.
Mrs. Cree enjoyed playing bridge. She loved going to her grandsons' ballgames and spending time with family.
She worked for several years for South Penn Telephone Co. as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1967.
Her husband, Harold S. Cree, whom she married May 19, 1947, died January 12, 1999.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Lane Barry of Southberry, Conn.; a son, Jeffrey L. (Janet) Cree of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Jessica Harvey, Bryce Cree, Scott Cree and Troy Cree; three great-grandchildren, Braxton, Ryleigh and Eva; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Nancy Inghram.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, with the Rev. David Lake officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.

Deepest sympathy to the family. Jane and I worked together many times at the hospital for the Auxiliary. I always enjoyed my time with her and she was a hard worker and such a good person. May she Rest In Peace.
