Janet Brach Obituary

Janet Eleanor West Brach, 82, of Washington, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, in the Donnell House, Washington. She was born September 19, 1942, in Taylorstown, a daughter of William Reed West and W. Eleanor Park West. Janet was a 1960 graduate of Washington High School. She was employed by Annealing Box Company as a secretary for 12 years. Janet was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church for 62 years, where she was a preschool Sunday school teacher for over 20 years. She enjoyed attending Washington Symphony Orchestra concerts and spending time at Oglebay. She loved going for rides in the country with her husband. On June 17, 1967, she married Anthony Frank Brach, who passed away August 20, 2011. Surviving are a son, Michael Anthony Brach; a daughter, Michelle Lynne (Philip Jr.) Anderson; her grandchildren, Meghan Elizabeth (Michael) Johnson, Rebecca Ann (Rachel Arcuri) Crowe, Matthew Anthony (Natalie Clayton) Dever, Isabelle Rose Anderson and Merinda Jeanne Anderson; great- grandchildren, Avery Layne Crowe and Rylan Elias Crowe; two brothers, John (Donna) West, and Ronald (Roseanne) West; nieces and nephews, Susan, Jim, Randy, Rich and Roger West; and several great- nieces and great- nephews. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, is a sister, Shirley Ann West. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 2, in Wiliam G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, with Pastor Clayton LaPosta officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to North Buffalo Presbyterian Church, 711 Rural Valley Road, Washington, PA 15301. The family sends heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Donnell House for the love and tender care they gave their mother.
