Janice Louise Jones, 84, of Washington, died Friday, December 9, 2022, in her home.
She was born February 6, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of the late Clayton Ellsworth and Juanita Johns Dilliard.
Janice attended Washington High School and was a homemaker. She had previously worked at Brockway Glass and RCA.
She enjoyed baking and was the queen of the QVC and HSN channels.
Janice was a devout Jehovah's Witness and cherished her Kingdom Hall family.
On February 11, 1959, Janice married Cecil Jones, who died March 8, 2015.
Surviving are two daughters, Toi Jones (Butch), and Michelle "Shelly" Jones (Kenny); a brother, Clayton Dilliard (Evelyn); a sister, Sharyn McAllister (David); grandchildren, Cecil Jones III, Skye Jones, Justice Ottey-Jones, (all three raised by Janice and Cecil), Jasmine Robinson, and Storme Robinson; and great-grandchildren, King Law, Royce Kramer, Nash Kramer, Preston Kramer, Sariya Jones, Bishop Robinson, Torjaun Sora, Rook Robinson and Sienna Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her son, Cecil Jones II; and her sister, Darlene Burch.
At the request of the deceased, all services were private.
The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
