Jean Kinder

Jean Kinder, 81, of Rainbow City, Ala., formerly of Washington, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025. Jean was an active member of Claysville United Methodist Church in Claysville. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rinehart; her sister, Beverly; her brothers, Junior and Bob; her husband, Roy Kinder; and special companion, Michael "Mickey" Morgan. Jean is survived by her daughter, Kim Rubottom; son, Mike (Lisa) Alfred; stepdaughters, Julie (Kevin) Kler, and Luanne Kinder; stepson, Eric Kinder; chosen sons, Mickey Morgan, Jr. and Mark Morgan; grandchildren, Ashlee (Brandon) Brown, Courtney (Michael) Raymond, and Blakely (Gage) Bottcher; and stepgrandchildren, Mary Katherine (Ryan) Dowdy, Kaitlynn Maudsley, Ryan Maudsley, Brynn Kler, Nathan Kler, and Nikita (Logan) Karlowski; her great- grandchildren, Brooks Brown, Madelyn Brown, Joanna Bottcher and Jace Karlowski; sister, Joan (Harold) Bennett; and fur baby, Biscuit. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Claysville United Methodist Church; Rainbow City Public Library; or the Rainbow City Humane Society, in her honor. The family wishes to express special thanks to the Rainbow City Emergency Services. The family will hold a private celebration of life. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
