JoAnn E. Oreski Onusko, 78, of Ellsworth, passed away the morning of Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in Penn Highlands – Monongahela Valley Hospital.
She was born October 7, 1943, in Monongahela, a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Renshni Oreski.
A graduate of Charleroi High School, Mrs. Onusko obtained her Bachelor's degree in English from California University of Pennsylvania.
She taught Advanced Placement English for the Parma City Schools in Ohio.
Having a very creative mind, she loved decorating and loved to golf. She was very thoughtful when it came to helping family and others.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Onusko; son, John Onusko and his wife, Amy Enslow of Garden Valley, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Onusko was the last of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, her brother, Michael Oreski, is deceased.
Her family is thankful for the family and friends who assisted Mrs. Onusko during her illness.
A private memorial service will be held in the near future.
