John R. Florian

John R. "Jack" Florian, 86, of Washington, passed away peacefully Monday, December 12, 2016, in his home.
He was born September 20, 1930, in Washington, a son of the late Joseph F. Florian and Daisy Irene Hatfield Florian.
Mr. Florian is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Lois Ann Scott, whom he married August 17, 1951, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Washington.
He was a 1949 graduate of Washington High School and was employed at different places throughout his life, including Palmers Beer Distributor, Cook Coffee Co. and Jewel Tea Co.
Mr. Florian loved traveling and going to the local casino, where everyone knew him as "Trouble."
Surviving, in addition to his loving wife, are 13 children, Pam Kenney, Steve Florian, Marian (Mickey) Nelson, Becky Stevens, Jeff (Penny) Florian, Dennis Florian, Rodger (Doris) Florian, Chris (Ann) Florian, Valerie Schnore, Cindy Spinler, Glenn (Sandy) Florian, Allison Gajdosik and Amy (the late Sean F.) Currey; 39 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son, Joey; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Joe "Bud" Florian and Jim Florian; and two sisters, Dolores Fetcko and Jean Falkenstien.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 17, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Washington. Burial will be private.
