John Hrivnak Obituary
He was born Saturday, October 16, 1954, in Charleroi, the oldest son of the late George J. and Carolyn Hazelbaker Hrivnak.
Mr. Hrivnak proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He was a registered nurse for 23 years at Malcolm Randall Veterans Affairs Center in Gainesville, Fla.
Left to cherish his memory are four sisters and two brothers, Christy Gibney and husband Bob of Bethel Park, George Hrivnak Jr. and wife Michelle of Allenport, Debbie Hrivnak-Webb of Allenport, Rhonda Gasser and husband Rick of Shawnee, Kan., Patty Brudnik and husband Frank of Elco and Bill Hrivnak and wife Jeannie of Gainesville; 11 nieces and nephews, Scott Sussman, Katie Wingard, Michael Hrivnak, Amy, Sara and Megan Gasser, Kirstan Webb, Courtney Hrivnak, Becky Carr, Mandy Jones and Regan Gibney; three great-nieces, Lucy and Esther Sussman and Delani Carr; and a great-nephew, Teddy Sussman.
Friends will be received until 11 a.m., the time of service, Wednesday, February 15, in Mariscotti Funeral Home Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, with the Rev. Candace Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Phillipsburg Cemetery, California.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hillman Cancer Center, 5115 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15323.
