Joseph Paletta Obituary

Joseph M. Paletta, 73, of Washington, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025. He was born in Washington March 4, 1952. Joe was the owner of Preferred Security Systems, an overnight transportation dispatcher, and a frequent video contributor to Virtual Railfan. "Joey Potatoes" was a beloved friend to many, an avid photographer, gamer, railfan, and was a regular patron of Lou Reda's. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Raccoon Valley Sportmen's Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marcella Piniecki Paletta; his brother, Robert (wife Carol, surviving); along with several aunts and uncles; nephew, Anthony Paletta; nieces, Alexandria Pauli (Joseph), Anastasia Paletta (Cedric Weilland), and Angelica Paletta; and by several cousins. All are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, in St. Hilary Church, 320 Henderson Avenue, Washington. Arrangements are in the care of DeAngelo Funeral Home.
