Kenneth Stoneking Obituary

Kenneth G. Stoneking Sr., 84, of Waynesburg, died Thursday, June 19, 2025 at home. He was born August 7, 1940 in Griffithsville, W.Va., a son of the late John M. and Gurtie Juanita Roberts Stoneking. Ken was a 1959 graduate of Mapletown High School. He worked for Parker Hannifin in Ohio, before coming back to Greene County and worked for Accurate Forging, in Brave, as a production foreman for over 31 years. Ken had attended Mt. Morris Methodist Church. At one time he had served as Fire Chief of the Brave Fire Department, Little League Wrestling coach for Brave, and Little League Baseball coach for Blacksville, W.Va. team. On December 23, 1961 he married Paula Johnson, who survives. Also surviving are four children: Pauletta (Noah) Moore, Susan Turner, Olan "Pete" (Stacy) Stoneking and Phillip (Lynn) Stoneking; 10 grandchildren: Christine, Regina, Beverly, Ariel, Noah, Norrell, Colton, Derek, Kirsten and Devin; four great-grandchildren: James, Geoffrey, Ellie and Giovanna; a sister, Tressa (Ray) Pierce; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Kenneth G. Stoneking Jr.; a sister, Carolyn Serrano; and a brother, John Alvin Stoneking. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, in the Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, with Pastor B. Gale Cobb officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Davistown.
