Kimberly McDonald Obituary

Kimberly Sue Adams McDonald, 59, of Silver Spring, Md., formerly of Washington, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 13, 2025. She was born November 30, 1965, in Washington, to Alma "Midge" Baker and Walter (Margot) Adams. Although she moved to Maryland in her adulthood, she was a lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed rooting on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins. On November 30, 2005, she married the love of her life, John McDonald, and they spent many happy years together. They especially enjoyed traveling together to Greece and Jamaica before John's passing in 2015. Kimberly is survived by her beloved parents Alma "Midge" Baker, and Walter (Margot) Adams; her brother, Daniel (Joy) Adams; stepson, Joey (Kara) McDonald; her nieces, Morgan (Jordan) Wright, Aubrey Adams; step-granddaughter, Madeline McDonald; and her beloved dog, Harley. She was also preceded in death by her half-sister Jacqueline Adams. Kimberly's presence will be deeply missed by those who knew her. She will be remembered for her love of all things Pittsburgh and her quick wit. At the request of the deceased, all services are private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

My deepest sympathies for Kimberly´s family. Time flies by so quickly. I remember attending a very nice birthday party for Kimberly, and waiting at the bus stop in grade school with Jamie Hough, and my sister on Manifold Road at the Y. She had an effervescent personality. I am very saddened to hear of her passing. I thought it would be nice to post a current photo of the bus stop and a first grade class picture. I still live on that farm on Berry Road.
Sincerely,
Eric Zipko

We are shocked and saddened at the passing of my cousin Kim. It was a life that passed too soon. Our heart goes out to my Uncle Walter, Aunt Midge, and Danny as they mourn such a deep loss. May God comfort those who are left to cherish Kim´s memory at this tender time.
