Laraine Stultz Pruce

Laraine Stultz Pruce of Canonsburg passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, Friday, September 19, 2014, a day after her 70th birthday, in Donnell House, Washington, following a lengthy and courageous battle with Myelofibrosis.
She was born September 18, 1944, in Republic, a daughter of the late Lawrence C. Stultz and Mildred Depcrynski Stultz, who passed away July 1, 2014.
Mrs. Pruce lived most of her life in Canonsburg. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, where she enjoyed being a longtime choir member.
She was a 1962 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and Duffs Business School. She was an office manager for Dr. Robert L. Pruce, DMD.
Mrs. Pruce most enjoyed spending time with her family. An exceptional cook, she was known for baking delicious cakes.
On September 3, 1966, she married John R. "Bob" Pruce Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are daughter Sherri L. Pruce and son Robert (Michele) Pruce, DMD, both of Canonsburg; three grandsons, Jonathan Abbondanza, Ethan Pruce and Noah Pruce, who was born September 21, 2014; a brother, Larry (Barb) Stultz of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two sisters, Patricia Geho and Jacqueline McClelland.
Dr. Ayalew Tefferi, MD, her hematologist at Mayo Clinic, provided great care for her.
Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, Lin Webb, director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
