Lois Davis Obituary

Lois Ruth Rudge Davis, 102, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Lois was the beloved wife of the late Edward A. Davis Sr., who preceded her in 1992; loving mother of Edward A. (Marsha) Davis, Jr.; adoring grandma of Edward A. "Eddie" (Kayleigh) Davis III; dear sister of Janice (the late Gary) Young, the late Virginia (the late Ernie) Kehrer, the late James (the late Mary) Rudge, and the late Robert (Eileen, surviving) Rudge; and the caring aunt of Amy (Steve) Jacobs, Robin (Denny) D'Orazio, Bobby (Patty) Rudge, Ernie (Peggy) Kehrer, Randy (Cindy) Kehrer, Kathy (Bill) Price, Peggy (Ray) Pizzi, and Marcy Young. Lois is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also preceded in death by her beloved parents James and Ruth Rudge. Lois was a 1941 graduate of Canonsburg High School. She worked for 23 years as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and loved working part-time for Borchert's Dress Shop in Canonsburg. She was an active member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian church. She treasured spending time with her family, especially with her grandson, Eddie. Lois and her sister Janice could always be found one of several places together-having lunch, shopping, getting their hair done, or at the casino. Lois also greatly enjoyed spending the holidays and other social times with her daughter-in-law Marsha's family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Arrangements by BEINHAUER-BOGAN, 164 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 15317, 724-745-5810, where friends and family are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Scott and I send our deepest prayers and condolences in the loss of Lois. Lois was my great Uncle Jim's daughter and niece to his sisters Sara and Sophie (Rudge) Stauffer. Sara was my grandmother and Sophie was my aunt. I am unable to come to the funeral home because my husband had to work today and tomorrow.

Our deepest sympathy to Lois´s family. She was a wonderful lady. I always enjoyed my visits with her. Lois was so good to my Aunt Lil years ago, helping her on her bad days. I never forgot that.

Love and Blessings,
