Loraine Johnson

Loraine Johnson, 80, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025. She was born June 30, 1945, in Alabama a daughter of the late Charles and Ruby Sutton. Mrs. Johnson was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School and also graduated from Penn Commercial in 1991 with a Professional Secretary Degree while maintaining a 3.4 grade point average. She was a member of the Washington Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses. Mrs. Johnson was employed as a C.N.A. at Humbert Lane for several years. She enjoyed traveling to annual Jehova's Witnesses conventions and loved listening to music and working in the garden. Mrs. Johnson will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Her husband, Sgt. Major Albert Johnson, United States Army is deceased. Surviving are a son, Albert Anthony Johnson of Washington; a brother, Charles Sutton of Maryland; and two sisters, Evon Williams of Maryland and Deborah Tucker of Maryland. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Charles, Willie, Lenell and Robert. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., the hour of a funeral service, on Monday, October 6, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner / Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
