Luke Blanock Obituary
Born Tuesday, April 1, 1997, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Kurt and Janice Graham Blanock.
He was a member of St. Mary Parish, where he was an altar server and member of the youth group. He was a 2016 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, where he was captain of the basketball team, a pitcher on the baseball team and a member of Spanish Club and National Honor Society.
He worked at Vocelli Pizza in Canonsburg and was a entrepreneur, selling on Craigslist.
Surviving are his soul mate and wife of five months, Natalie Britvich Blanock of Canonsburg and Cecil; parents Janice and Kurt Blanock of Cecil; sister Carla (Adam) Marratto Cumming and nephew Christopher of Brookline; brother Pierce Marratto of Mt. Washington; sister Kaitlyn Mary Blanock of Cecil; maternal grandmother Lois Jean Graham of Brookline; paternal grandmother Rosemary Turiczek Blanock Nikas of Canonsburg; parents-in-law Fred and Sue Britvich and sister-in-law Jessica Britvich, all of Canonsburg; and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Deceased are maternal grandfather Donald Charles Graham; paternal grandfather Philip Gregory Blanock; and stepgrandfather Dr. Peter J. Nikas.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in St. Mary Church, 10 St. Mary Lane, Cecil, PA 15321, where a Christian funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 12, with Father Stan Gregorek officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cecil.
In lieu of flowers, the deceased would like to be remembered by donations in his name to Community Scholarship Foundation of Canon McMillan (CSF-CM), P.O. Box 559, Canonsburg, PA 15317-0559, or to Ewing's Sarcoma Foundation at carsonsarcomafoundation.org.
Arrangements are entrusted to Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Your family is in my prayers. I completely understand what you're going through. My son Ryan passed away 10 months ago. Cancer is a terrible thing but our boys were true heroes. Luke made an impact on everyone in his school and community and my Ryan did the same for the West Mifflin High School and our community. I did not know Luke personally, but he was the one person who inspired me every single day. I playing against Luke in the 2015 WPIAL playoffs in baseball. It was so amazing to watch him step on the mound and pitch. After the game I wanted to go up and talk to him, telling him how inspiring he was to me, but I didn't because I didn't want to seem like a freak. During my freshman season of college baseball, I wrote LB in my hat, because no matter how hard my workout was or how bad I was doing on the field, I knew that it was absolutely nothing compared to what Luke was going through.
Although I didn't know you Luke, you are a role model and an inspiration to me. I'll continue to work hard in your name, because you'll continue to push me to be my best. Today I wear my #LukeStrong shirt in remembrance. Rest easy LB.
