Makayla Nicole Miller, 32, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly, the morning of March 23, 2021. She lost her battle with addiction and mental health; something that she had struggled with most of her life. Her problems never stopped her from sharing her love and infectious laughter with all those she encountered. There was never a soul that she didn't touch.
Music was her passion. You could always find her singing and dancing, speaking from song lyrics or movie quotes. She also loved fishing, hunting, riding four wheelers, spending time with family or just getting lost in a good book.
Makayla is survived by her mother, Serena Stout and her stepfather Kenny McMasters; her children, Makenzie Rubin and Wyatt Kovacic; her sisters, Jennifer McMasters (Teddy), Kerri Miller and Michelle Efaw (Jim). Also surviving are her grandparents, Joyce Nichols (the late Rick Grace), Doug Stout (Jackie), grandmother Marilynn Stalnaker (the late Dana), grandmother Lavern McMasters (the late Bill); best friend, Ashley Beatty; stepmother, Bridgette Miller; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Miller; a dear friend, Linda Kovacic; and great-grandmother, June McClain.
Friends will be received from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 27, in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington. Funeral services will be held in private at the convenience of the family.
A tribute wall is available at www.deangelocare.com. In lieu of flowers, please make donations on the funeral home website to help cover final expenses.
