Margaret Jean Danna

Margaret Jean Danna, 78, of Avella, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in North Strabane Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Canonsburg. She was born March 10, 1947, at home in Burgettstown, a daughter of the late John Stanley and Frances Ida Daudet Yaworski. Margaret attended Union High School in Burgettstown and was a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Hillary Catholic churches. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino, and helping her daughter bake. Margaret loved listening to Elvis, dancing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. On January 12, 1966, she married Walter L. Danna, who survives. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 59 years, are her children, Kimberly Veltri (Joe DePetro) of Avella, Michael Danna of Canonsburg, and Brian Danna (Dee Bloom) of Washington; a stepson, Tony Miller; seven grandchildren, Kimber (Gabe), Julien (Sierra), Destiny, Nicky, Brett (Corey and Hadley), Allie and Lexi; her siblings, John (the late Mary) Yaworski, Frances (Chuck) Pleska, Mary Ann Marsella (Al), Joseph Yaworski, Helen (Dave) Creps, Shirley (Bob) Maurer, Donna Yaworski, and Robert (Kelley) Yaworski; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her parents, is an infant brother, William Lawrence Yaworski. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 10, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 11, with the Rev. Harry Bielewicz officiating.
