Margaret "Peg" Jean Maryanski, 99, passed on to her eternal rest Monday, April 10, 2023, in the Washington Hospital.
Peg was born March 1, 1924, to Dorothy and Albert Eagon. She was a proud graduate of the Washington High School Class of 1943 and organized many of her class reunions. She loved being a "Little Prexie."
On November 11, 1947, she married Alfred Maryanski in St. Hilary Church. Throughout their 60 years of marriage, they traveled extensively and most of all enjoyed their trips to Mexico. They were blessed with one daughter, Juanita (Gary) Karluk.
Peg was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder member, trustee, deacon, choir member and taught Sunday school for 45 years. She currently attended New Hope Church, Washington.
She was a bookkeeper at S.A. Meyer Jewelers and for the Washington County Bus Line.
Peg was a founding member of the Pulaksi Club Women's Auxiliary and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary.
Peg loved the holidays and decorated her home from top to bottom. Halloween was by far her favorite and she was known among the neighborhood children for her scary decorations.
Peg was an avid gardener with a very green thumb. She loved working in her garden and the neighbors were always commenting on how pretty her flowers were. She enjoyed sharing stories, and her love for Christ, with family and friends.
Peg enjoyed thrift shopping and collecting antique glassware, and the thrill of a good deal. She loved her flashy jewelry and big rings and wore them for every occasion. Peg had a kind and loving heart, and she lived life her way.
Peg has three granddaughters, April (Doug) Wilcoxson, Crystal Dillon, and Rebecca (Mark) Stollar; and four great-grandchildren, Colton Dillon, Garrett Dillon, Abby Dillon and Cayde Cook; and one great-great-grandchild, Daxon Dillon.
Peg was a surrogate grandmother to Anna (Ken) Lee and their children, Sophia, Owen and Oliver, as well as Emmalea (James) Harvey and their son, Greycen.
In lieu of cut flowers, please make a donation to New Hope Church or plant a flower, in your garden, in remembrance of Peg. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Tom Bennett who was Peg's devoted church friend.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 16, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will take place at 12 p.m. Monday, April 17.
Interment will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

So sorry for your loss. I have so many memories of those vacation adventures. Your mom always kept things lively. The 4 of them certainly had a lot of good times together. Prayers to you and your family.
