Marianne Shumaker, 92, of Hickory, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
She was born November 2, 1929, in Pittsburgh.
For 18 years, Mrs. Shumaker worked for Fort Cherry School District in its cafeteria.
She enjoyed reading, building puzzles, crafts and painting.
Mrs. Shumaker was a member of Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
On June 28, 1947, she married Wilbur Shumaker, who died August 23, 2012.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda (James, deceased) Sparks, Susan (Joey) Lilley, and Kathleen (Doug) Gregg; three grandchildren, Kelley Sparks, Jami (Vincent) Volk, and Lorianne (Paul) Ethridge; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn O'Bryon, Connor Allen, Sarrah Ethridge, and Wynston Ethridge; and two great-great grandchildren, Rylee Davis and Dakota Davis.
At the request of the deceased, all services were private.
Arrangements were entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
